Aicha is holding her baby brother Moussa. Older sisters are often placed in charge of their younger siblings, which will give brothers and sisters a strong bond as they grow up.

Although African parents are always thrilled to have a baby boy, they aren’t disappointed if their firstborn child is a girl because they know that they can count on her to take care of her siblings and help with the many chores in the household
