In July 2003, I dreamed Baobab Forest. Eight months later the artist
statement also appeared in a dream. The word "forest" holds different
connotations throughout the world. In North Carolina, one thinks of
lush undergrowth and deep greens. In areas where the forest has been
cut down or the desert has advanced, just seven trees together would be
called a forest. We need to care for our natural resources so the word
"forest" can depict once again the abundant greenery our forests once
had.
